How to Spend the Afternoon

This is the way to spend an afternoon. Lying in the grass looking up at the canopy of leaves overhead. In this case, I was just walking around my back yard, looking for some viewpoint from which to shoot. I’m frequently of the mindset that there are plenty of things to photograph in one’s own back yard. I’m just not sure I’m proving it.

Excellent shot. This is one of those images you could have some real fun with. Throw on a different type pattern, do something with the border, and make it look surreal with polarization, solarization, or something like that. One thing you could try is the sharper it up several times. It doesn't need it at all, but by going overboard with the sharpening, then making surreal changes (including color changes also), you could really come up with something out of this world. Several of your ocean photos would work like that also.
