12/7 Final Update

I’m back from Rahway. I was VERY tired in the drive up. I don’t know why I felt so tired, but I felt really beat. Upon arrival I got a cup of coffee. They make good coffee and it really helped to boost my energy level.

My theory on coffee is that when God kicked humans out of the Garden of Eden, he knew we couldn’t make it by ourselves. So he gave us coffee. I know tea has coffee too and so do many sodas, but for me coffee is a bigger pick-me-up and any other drink.

The time on site with the client went well. Since I had recently migrated them from a very old system they had used for many years to a new system. There was a lot of frustration and that’s not unusual. But I have a very calm demeanor and never get rattled. I think that builds confidence in the people. I answered most of their questions with promised follow-up for those issues I could not resolve on site.

On the way up and back I chatted with the Vorlon Parents on the cell phone. I would imagine they were likely tired of such a long conversation.

I feel pretty good tonight with some intermittent back pain. I’m hoping for a good night’s sleep. Tomorrow I have an appointment to go to Sloan-Kettering in NYC for another opinion. I am NOT looking forward to it. It is two and half hour drive each way. The appointment is at 4:00 PM. Since almost all medical establishments run late, it means they won’t really see me until 5:00 PM. Then it’ll likely be 30 minutes and then the drive home. That means leaving NYC about 6:00 PM, through the Lincoln Tunnel and home.

I really expect no new information, but one never knows. Perhaps I should take my laptop and live blog it – then again maybe not.
