Trilliums

The Vorlon Wife has some trilliums in her flower garden. She has some dark blue ones and this violet one. It turns out that trillium flowers last for just a few hours. When you see one you want to photograph, move quickly as the flower won’t be there long. I shot this about 2:00 in the afternoon. By 6:00 pm, it was almost completely wilted.

Isn't that interesting about the Trilliums only lasting a few hours. I didn't know that. Thanks for capturing the beauty of that flower in the short period of time it shared its beauty. It seems like I remember that this is a flower that is usually growing in the woods. Maybe I don't have the right name - my memory isn't what it used to be for sure. Anyway, thanks for the lovely photo. Also the sunrise picture was gorgeous. We enjoyed that so much too. It's pretty neat that you see the beauty and take the time to capture it as you go through your day. I think they call that "stopping to smell the roses." A very nice habit indeed. Ruth
