Junw 18 Final Update

I’m feeling better tonight than I was this morning. I was really hurting this morning. The Vorlon Wife went to church without me. I stayed home, took some ibuprofen and slept for about an hour. Later in the afternoon, I started to feel better.

I came across some good advice. It said, “When you’re feeling really badly, you may not be able to sleep, but you can still rest.” I took that advice this morning and wound up sleeping anyway.

I did my 1-mile walk with the Vorlon Wife and did pretty well. I’m still doing pretty well, but its time for bed. I get chemoed tomorrow afternoon.

Ted, We'll be thinking about you today.

Dear Ted,

I so wish you could have had a better weekend. You did pay a price for the shots I'm afraid. I just hope it helped you to be better prepared for your chemo today. I'm glad you & Karol were able to get a walk in, that helped.

You're an awesome warrior I'll say that. You fight through so much everyday. You're a little bit like the Energizer Bunny (in your own Vorlon type way.) I say thank you for your strength because I know it's so tough sometimes to get the energy to do much, and still you try so hard. Your attitude is definitely a huge part of your winning this battle. And, that's why God is always with you and walking through this valley with you. He caries you at the most difficult times, so hang in and keep that powerfully good fighting attitude, and let go and let God do some of it for you too. He's as near as we want Him to be to us.

I'm praying for a good week for you Ted. And, thank Karol for being with you in such a loving way. She's awesome. And, God definitely is with her also in providing for her during this time.

God Bless you both. Sincerely, Ruth

Ted,

If it makes you feel any better, I still picture you as that big brother who totally embarrassed me doing your monkey imitation in front of me and my friend, Sue Strahan. I guess that's the kind of person it takes to fight the way you do against this bitter enemy.

Keep it up. Bro! I'm proud to have a brother like you!
