September 4 Final Update

Today was a just hang around the house day. I didn’t really feel exhausted, but I sure didn’t have much energy. I just sort of stayed in one spot. My calves are very tight and sore and walking is a hobble. My feet, ankles and calves are still puffy – but not quite as bad as a couple of days ago.

I did a little bit of work today. I did a report for a client. He will probably want to tweak it a bit, but it gives him something to look at and give me some feedback.

I’ve picked up some back pain in my lower back. I suspect it’s from the chemo as I got this same back pain about the same part in the chemo cycle a few weeks ago.

I’ve picked a back pain that’s a bit more worrisome. It is a sharp pain about half way between my hip and rib cage on the left side. The worrisome part is, I had the same pain back in August of 2005, and then it gradually went away. Now it’s back again.

I’m off to bed.

Good morning,

I just said a special prayer for you. May your back pain be trivial - may your CT scan be better than ever and may your legs, calves and foot pain be relieved so that you may get on with the more important things in your life, such as enjoying all the beauty of this earth that you so treasure and enjoy. So that you may help your clients daily without the need for rest, that you and Karol be able to go for your walks without pain, that you enjoy each flower in your yard, each beautiful wave that laps the ocean's shoreline, each person's inner beauty, so that you can continue to cultivate your wonderful brain with the intensity that is natural in your life, that God relieve you of this constant inner fear of CT scans and visits to the oncologist. Please God, give this man, who has fought the good fight, the opprtunity to once again be just a regular "Joe" living the very best life he can, honoring you and trusting in You each day without these dreaded fears.

In Jesus name we pray. Amen Ruth

Ted

I agree with Ruth. What a beautiful prayer I could not have said it any better.

God's speed your recovery.

Doris, thank you for your kind words. I so appreciate them and my fervent prayer is that God heard my prayers for Ted this morning. They were powerful and even pleading. Ruth
