November 30 Update

My brief with time with feelng well is over.

I’m hurting at the moment. The good news is that I’m soon to leave ICU and get a regular room.

When I get there I’m going to order a Dilaudid shot and go to sleep

I hurt.

I’m arguing with the IT department to get better internet access to my office. So far, no improvement. But I’ll keep trying.

At least I have this connection – for now. They may get fed up with me and turn me completely off.

I’ll get the name of the head of IT. Perhaps he would like to know about my interview with the local newspaper tomorrow.

Ted,

Why not post all of your concerns about the I.T. problem on the blog with names, dates, and times?

Then send them a link to the posting and tell them how many hits you receive each month.

Freedom of speech is a powerful tool and no one like bad publicity.

I prefer to try the soft apprach instead of hitting them with the 10 Lb sledge. I don't think I've ever used someone's name on the blog in a dirisve manner. Why start now?

Hello New Jersey.

I think your soft approach to dealing with the IT Dept. might work a little better. They probably don't actually have to accommodate you, so rocking the boat might get you "no access" to anything. We should always remind ourselves of the commitment each health care worker gives each day, even the IT workers. We better treat them pretty well. After all, we are at their mercy. And, I don't mean to suggest that ALL health care workers are good at what they do.
I have definitely experienced a few that should not be in this profession in any capacity (even IT).

I hope your reporter showed up for your interview. You surely have an interesting story to tell, as well as a little humor to add to your state of affairs. That's a great combination Ted, which I'm sure not all of us would be as good at this as you are.

I'm sure that is a concern to you and Karol about Danny Boy's response to the visitor at your home. Maybe, as his assurance grows that he is safe and will continue to be safe, he will lose some of that aggresiveness. And, there just might be some methods you could try that might work for him. With not knowing his history prior to Ted & Karol, he may have had to be aggresive with his food.

Hoping your day is going fairly well. And, of course saying our prayers that there are much better days ahead for you. God Bless, Ruth
