Dear Karol,
So sorry to read the news tonight. You must have had a very busy day. When is the funeral there wasn't a day/date given with the times and church address. I am sure tha you are living a waking nightmare. If there is anything we can do let us know. I have several reading which might give you some comfort. We will be in Blacksburg, Virginia On Sunday and Monday handling wedding arrangements. Both Owen and I send our deepest sympathy to you and Ted's family. I'll try and call tomorrow. Please try to eat and get some rest.

If you could see where I Have Gone

If you could see where I Have Gone Had made the trip with me .You’d know I didn’t go alone, The Savior came with me.
When I awoke he stood by me and touched me With his hand, “Hurry, now, you’re going home To a grand and glorious land”. “Don’t worry over those You love For I’m not just with you, And don’t you know with you at home,
They’ll long to be there too”.

If you could see where I have gone, And see what I’ve been shown, You’d never know another fear, Or even feel alone. You’d marvel at the care of God, His hand on every life, And realize he really cares, And bears with us each strife. And that he weeps when one is lost, His heart is filled with pain.
But oh! The joy! When one returns, A child at home again.

If you could see where I have gone, Could stay a while with me, Could share the things that God has made, To grace eternity. “but, no, you couldn’t even leave,
Once heaven’s joy you’d known, You couldn’t bear to walk earth’s paths, Once heaven was your home.

If you could see where I have gone, you’d know we’ll meet some day, and though I’m parted from you now, that I am just away. And now that I am home with him, secure in every way, I’m waiting here at heaven’s door, to greet you some sweet day.

“Cast your burden upon the lord, and he shall sustain you.”
Psalm 55:22

That’s as Good as Goodbye Gets

We said our last “I love you’s” as we held each other tight. With years of tender feelings overflowing from our eyes.
Now hear I am with memories.
All alone with no regrets.
And that’s as good as goodbye gets.

You did a lot of living as you walked these earthly miles
It’s funny, though I’m crying,
Still somehow, I have to smile
Cause your life, your love, your laughter,
Touched everyone you met.
And that’s as good as goodbye gets.

There’s a deep, deep sadness that comes with letting go.
But, even though I’m grieving, there is peace, there is hope.
Because I know I’ll meet you there in heaven
When my last sun sets.
And that’s as good as goodbye gets.

It was nice seeing you and the rest of the family at the service.

In his own way, Ted touched all of us.
