Danny and I didn’t get up until 7:00 this morning. We went for our walk and I had my coffee and gave him his ear drops. I went right to work on getting my papers ready for the company taxes. I called Ann at the office building where we used to have our business and asked her if I could use the copy machine. She was glad to help me. I had a lot of copies to make and was there at lunch time so she and another lady and I ordered a pizza. I had some left over so I brought a couple slices home for dinner, After lunch, I finished my copies and went to the Acme to buy some fruit to take to Nature Club for refreshments. It’s hard going to the supermarket as I see food that Ted liked to eat. I become very sad.
When I arrived home, Danny was waiting for his afternoon walk. It started raining as we walked and I came home with a wet dog. I dried him off and played with him and his toys.

I wrote some more thank you notes, a sympathy card, and a birthday card. I was too tired to look at the paperwork I had just copied so I do it later.

It cleared off so I took Danny out at 4:00. Once again, we were half way through our walk when it started to rain. I dried him off again and brushed him.

I heated up the pizza and gave Danny his dog food. He turned his nose up at it. I had to get ready for Nature Club so I put his food in the frig. I got the fruit ready and the bag I keep the Nature Stuff in and soon my Nature Club friend came to pick me up. The program was about amphibians and reptiles. It was a good night for them as I could hear the spring peepers in wooded areas near ponds. It’s time for the frogs and salamanders to come out.

The Nature Club people were saddened by Ted’s passing. Many of them attended the service. Ted had once been president of the group.

I came home and took Danny out for his last walk of the evening. I also took out the trash as tomorrow is trash collection.

Tomorrow, I will work on the house. I want get ready to paint. When the weather warms up, I will paint with the house opened up to air out.

I’ll do some reading and turn in.

Dear Karol,

I can only imagine how difficult it is for you at times when Ted becomes such a vivid part of your beautiful memories. It's interesting what stirs the memories too. Such as seeing his food at the grocery store that he liked. And, attending the meetings now that you used to attend together. Very very hard indeed.

But, as I mentioned the other day, you are pushing your way through many of them and I give you the much needed credit you deserve for moving forward. Only with the Hand of Our Lord helping you through. He is there for you, as I know you are aware of each day also.

I'm so thankful for your many friends that are helping you also. I can imagine it really helps you to hear your friends speak so beautifully about Ted. You are both so highly thought of by so many. That's a gift.

I always say an extra prayer for you on the weekends, as I know those weekends can be difficult. Try to stay involved as much as you can. Thinking of you always, Ruth
