Today was my last day at the Packaging Corporation of America. They were down by $200,000 on their profits so they had to let their temps go. They were going to keep me until Friday but One of Ted’s clients needed help. One of the partners had a stroke and all her knowledge about how to do the work was locked in her head. She is not conscious. I started there this afternoon and Ted would have been proud of me. I was able to help with a glitch that had them stumped. I only have to work 4 hours a day and will make more than I did as a temp. It will only be for a short time until I train them but it will be good experience for me and it will build up my confidence in finding a new job.

I will be posting more photos of last week.

Danny will need to be walked and then it will be time to cut some zzz’s.

Karol, I am so glad you found something, even if only temporary, that you will make a real difference. Hours and pay sound so much better to boot! Good luck.

Hi Karol,

I think life works out just about like it's supposed to. God never closes one door without opening another. That's the way it seems about your work situation. Plus, it's so great that you were able to show them how to do certain things they were puzzled about. You bet Ted would have been proud of you. I can well imagine he's in awe of everything you've accomplished Karol. And, I'm sure proud of you too. Working four hours a day will be nice for you too because you have so much that you need to take care of at home. Danny will like your new hours too. Doesn't it just boost our self confidence when we're able to help someone else work through a problem? It helps them and it sure helps us too.

Your pictures of the lilly and the sunset at Avalon are dreamy. Postcard or calendar pictures for sure. And, Danny's collie friends are beautiful. What I noticed also was how spotlessly clean the kennels were. Someone works hard to keep things in tip-top shape.

Once again, let me say how glad I am about your new work situation. It will definitely make you feel more confident so that when you need to pursue work later, you'll feel better about being in the work force again. You're good - very good. You just need to be in your area of expertise.

Thanks for sharing your good news. Ruth
