Friday Flowerblogging

This is a double Rose of Sharon. As you can see, it is popular with the bumble bee. They were growing at the house in Avalon. I had never seen a double and thought it was very pretty.

Hi Karol,

We have had to be in Lansing this last week as my younger sister is very very ill, with a lung tumor and a tumor inside her spinal column. It has been a week filled with MRI's and CT scans. We understand they will do surgery on the spinal column tumor Monday. It is going to be a most dangerous surgery, so we need all the prayers we can get.

I really have been missing reading your blog Karol. I have so enjoyed looking at the beach pictures. I really loved the long path to the beach, all the different angles and the fence all along the way. Things like this really appeal to me. I love walking paths - I am not able to walk them any longer, but if the surface is hard enough, I can sometimes use my scooter to enjoy the scenery.

I am so happy you have a new job with benefits. That is GRAND. Being familiar with that type of work sure helps too. I know this must be a very big relief to you. And, you know, I think waiting about selling your home is a good idea Karol. Perhaps things were moving along a bit too quickly. And, now that you're getting things all fixed up at your Vineland home, I get the feeling you're liking it a lot. A good plan I think.

I will continue to be very involved with my sister as she awaits her surgery next week, so I'll probably be missing your blogs again for awhile, but, I will never forget you. Each day I think of you and am hoping for the very best for you. Ruth
