I went on the internet job searching this morning. I then, went outside and used the weed eater on the west and back sides of the house – along the curb, along the driveway, both sides of the hedge, around the trees, and along the flowerbeds. I went as far as my cord could reach. It was lunchtime so I put everything away and swept up the drive. I have another power source in the garage so I can finish the back another day. I was exhausted so I vegetated after lunch.

I walked Danny around the block and vegetated some more. He is ready for another walk and then his dinner will be ready.

I feel sad, as there is no choir tonight and probably won’t be anymore. I hope the person is happy that her unthoughtful remark has dissolved the choir.

The barking dog across the street has Danny all hyper. I told Danny he should feel sorry for that dog because no one takes him for a walk. The only word he understood is WALK and now he is ready to go.

I was just reading an article about a woman who plays the harp. She noticed when she played, her cats and dogs would lie down and act almost as if they were drugged. She made a CD and took it to her vet. The animals all had the same reaction and made it much easier during their treatment.

She created a web site www.petpause2000.com that she says vets, etc use. I haven't checked it out, but who knows- that dog across the street might chill when listening to a little harp music!

Sounds good. I need one for myself and one for my neighbor's dog. Maybe I can just play it loudly out the front window and he will hear it.

Good morning Karol,

The Azaleas are just BEAUTIFUL.

The idea of the harp music calming animals is a brilliant idea for vets and others, like yourself, who is having to listen to a barking dog the entire day. You just might try opening your front door and playing the CD as loudly as you can and see if it works. However, what would probably happen is that someone would report you for the loud music and the law would come to your house rather than at the barking dog residence. Is the barking dog left alone all day long? That is so unfair. Maybe you would be doing the dog a favor by reporting this to Animal Control. I know this is difficult to do because you don't want problems with your neighbors, but, on the other hand, what about the poor animal - who will speak for him?

Enjoy a beautiful weekend. If I were you, I would just hang around your yard for peace and comfort. Everything in your yard represents peace and beauty and the tranquility of nature. Even I feel more peaceful when I see your gorgeous flowers. I love them. Ruth
