I was planning to go to home depot to get a new dehumidifier and air conditioner but had to go to the doctor’s office. I called to get my prescription filled. I needed a new one because I changed insurances and my new one has a different mail order company. The doctor wanted to see me first. It was nine o’clock and I made the appointment for 10. He went over my blood work and it all looked good except for my bad cholesterol was a little high. I have to improve my diet. I guess that means to cut back on my Klondike bars. My good cholesterol was good. He also gave me some scripts for various screenings. The imaging lab that has my records has closed. I will have to call the place that took them and go to get them.

I was ironing yesterday and my iron is not working. I hope I can move before anything else breaks down.

On my way home from the doctor’s, I stopped to get some flowers at the garden mart. I got some Vincas for the front and some lavender impatents for the east side. When I get them planted, I’ll go back to get some for the back yard. I’ll try to spread them further apart so I won’t have to buy as many and not have to spend as much money.

It was rather sad. I looked at the flowers and thought of the ones Ted would like and I also saw some that I knew he wouldn’t like. He did not like the salmon colored impotents. I think they look pretty with lavender but he did not like them. I saw some salmon petunias and thought, “No, Ted would not like them.”

I stopped for gas at the WaWa and used my rebate card from Verizon. I got it when I upgraded my laptop. The attendant had to run inside to process it. The pump wouldn’t accept it. She was quick. I thought it would take her longer as the gas station is separated from the store.

I walked Danny when I got home, had some lunch and cut the grass. It dried out a little but was still heavy and thick. I put the fertilizer on just before we got all the rain. I should have cut it twice. It would flatten down and some strands of grass would pop up after I mowed. I recut some but I’ll have to do it again in a few days. That darn hedge is growing too rapidly. We get more rain tomorrow.

When I was walking Danny this afternoon, my neighbor’s son walked over and offered to cut the grass for me. He’s about 19. I thought how nice of him but also thought he doesn’t do his own grass. I kind of chuckled. He may do it now that he’s older but his mother had to scream at him to get him to do anything. There are six children in the family and they are all nice kids. Five boys and one girl.

My brother is coming tomorrow to help me put in the air conditioners. We’ll take a look at this one in the computer room. It doesn’t sound right. We’ll take it apart and see if we see anything obvious that could be wrong with it. I’ll have to replace it if we don’t see anything. It is running loudly. The same thing with the dehumidifier. The iron just doesn’t get hot. I knocked it on the floor last week. I guess something broke inside.

My new place has central air. That will make things so much nicer.

Thanks for sharing the beautiful flowers. They are just gorgeous.

Isn't it just amazing how many things seem to fall apart at just about the same time? I will be so thankful when you move to your new and beautiful home. Life is going to be more enjoyable and easier for you, What a blessing that will be. It's really not too long now. Love, Ruth
