MI winter barn #1

A winter barn scene in Michigan. This photo was taken last January when I was in Michigan.

I did some shopping today. I went to Boscov's, Michaels, and Barnes and Knobles at the Christiana Mall. It was mobbed and it was a weekday morning. I would hate to see it on the weekend. I saw a lady from church at the book store. I'm getting to know and see more people in the area.

I'm still working on Christmas Cards. I'm on page 3 of my labels. There are 30 to a page. I see where I am missing some names so I'll have to send more than I thought. Also, I don't have anyone from this area on my list. I don't know who will be sending to me.

Cheryl and Ed had us over for dinner tonight. Ed made baked zitti, stewed tomatoes. brocoli, salad, and texas toast. Everything was excellent. I brought some snicker doodle cookies for desert. I bought them in the store. My mother used to make them. They were good but my mother's were outstanding.

Hi Karol, It always seems like the cookies our mother's baked were far better than any we get from the store. Times were different. There would be times when we would get home from school and even before we opened the door, we could smell that mom had made something good. It doesn't happen very often anymore, but, our mother always had a full evening meal prepared everyday and we all ate together. Dave and I call those the "good ol' days" And they were.

I love the MI barn with the snow covering the ground. We have snow covering the ground now too. But, it's not too bad yet.

Dave came home from the hospital after a 6 day stay and he is regaining his strength. We'll now have a nebulizer at the ready if and when something like that happens again. It was a life and death situation and I felt so helpless until the paramedics arrived. I'm so thankful he's doing better and I so love having him home with me.

It's a busy season and you sound like you're very busy - as usual. We're way behind and I'm not sure I'll get cards done this year. We'll see.
Love, Ruth
