I went to the church to do some financial work. That took up most of the morning. It finally rained lightly all day and then heavy at night. Danny hid under the bed shortly after dinner. I was hoping to take him out one more time before going to bed but now it's raining hard again. Oh! here he is. He came out to the computer room, heard the rain and ran back under the bed. I hope he can wait until morning.

Yesterday was very similar to a day you had recently, it really looked like rain all day, but we had about 7 drops. The crops in the fields and lawns and everything needs rain very badly. We are so thankful we have underground sprinklers and that keeps our yard looking good. But, so many others are burning up and it makes me sad to see that.
Our oldest grandson and his fiancee were married on Saturday and it was such a lovely wedding. They chose to be married in an old country church and that made it so sweet to us. The only problem was there were at least 25 high-rise steps to get in. It looked very daunting to me. My grandson and his best man helped me the best they could, but I wasn't able to stay at the reception very long because of the pain my body endured from the climb. That was the sad part for me, but, they are such a special couple and we're very happy for them.
