This is the Baptist Church in Chincoteague near the pony auction area. I spotted it when we were trying to find a place to park. I saw other cars parking there. The auction is held at the Firemen's Carnival Grounds. They have food, rides, games, and souvenirs all benefiting the Fire Company.

I went to church and took care of the offering. Ursula had surgery on Friday and will now need radiation treatments so may not be back as Treasurer. We'll have to find someone to help me as the Treasury is now my responsibility. I needed gas for my mower so I stopped in at my niece, Cheryl's to take some food storage containers back to her. She has a part time job from her old employer. Not the one that just laid her off but the one before that. He heard she was out of work so offered her a part time job. She is still going to school for medical coding which has a better future than printing. Her husband said he would come over with his chain saw and cut down a couple of my trees that are dead. They gave me some vegetables from their garden.

Next, I went on down the road to get my gas. When I got back, I took Sparky for a walk and went to work cutting the grass on the east side and the back. My neighbor did the west side on Friday. She does it sometimes when she cuts the lawn for the vacant house on my west side. i was grateful as I have a lot of lawn to cut. It was cooler today so It wasn't so bad cutting out there. At 5pm, I went over to the Town Point Church to help with the Bible School. They had hot dogs and pretzels for dinner. They also had fruit cups and drinks. Many of the drinks were still frozen. I left mine to thaw and Tina thought no one wanted it so threw it out. It was Arizona Green Tea and all that was left were Sips that tasted nasty. I don't know how kids like that stuff. I guess its the sugar. I don't really care for hot dogs either but I eat what's served. I helped Tina with the crafts. They children made stained glass rocks. Tina had gotten some rocks and cleaned them. The children put different color tissue paper soaked in pasted onto the rocks. I saw several children from the mobile home park there. Abby said she almost didn't recognize me without Sparky. Another man didn't recognize me without my hat. I always wear a hat to church. I didn't go into the sanctuary because the smell of mildew was strong there. By the end of the night, I was sneezing so I bolted out. I got half way down the road and realized I forgot 3 children who I was to bring home. I had to find a place on the narrow road to turn around. Luckily, I got back before they realized I was gone. I'm glad I remembered them. Two of the girls were helping with the Bible School and Trenton was one of the children in the class. They are children living with their grandmother. They are wonderful Christian children.
