This morning, after taking Danny for his walk, we got in Blue Velvet and went to the WaWA for a cup of coffee. I got a 24 ounce so I could have 2 cups. It seems my coffee pot has a crack in it. I should have got one at the flea market on Sat.

When I got home, I worked on the company computer and tried to get all the data into the computer. I had to look things up to find out whether they had been entered or not. It was a long and tedious job. Some things are still messed up. I worked away and it was 2:00 in the afternoon. I hadn’t had lunch but Danny was waiting to go out. I took an apple and ate on the way.

I took him around the block and had lunch at 3:00. I had a hot dog and sauer kraut. I ate some goodies for dessert. I am slowly finishing up the goodies.

I put some soil down over the garden hose and roots that run from one flowerbed across the lawn (that people use for a walkway) to another flowerbed. I had a big barrel of soil and had intended to put some stepping-stones in there but never got it done.

I watched some Star Trek episodes on TV and took Danny out at 6:00 for his evening walk. It seemed everyone had their dogs out and Danny had a good time barking at them all.

I had dinner and read some of the Vorlon’s science news. The Vorlon could retain what he had read better than I can. One of the articles I had read before and did not remember it. It was about the Meer Kats and how they did the research on them. The show came from the research they did.

I gathered up the trash and put it out. I went to the basement, got some grass seed, and sprinkled it over the soil. I went back to the basement and turned on the outside water so I could sprinkle the seed and fill up the birdbath.

A friend called this evening to see how I am doing. She invited me to lunch next week. We will go on Monday to a place in Mays Landing. It is wonderful that so many friends are so kind and thoughtful. I thank all of you.

I put Stargate on the TV and watched as I went through some catalogs that came in the mail today. I also went through my car’s owners manual as Dasher had lost its radio operation when the battery went dead the other day. It is not a simple thing to fix. It seems we were supposed to be given a code for the radio. We never got one for either car that I know of. I’ll have to get out all our paperwork to see if we have a code. If not, I’ll need the serial number to the radio and take it to the Honda dealer. The radio probably has to be taken out to get it. I’ll have to look and see. We never had the battery go dead on either of these cars.

I have to go to Orientation at the Unemployment Office tomorrow. It is probably a big waste of time. Especially since, they are not likely to give me my unemployment. If I don’t go, I won’t get it for sure. That reminds me, I have to find my resume. I printed it out but I have no idea what I did with it. I’ll have to print another one.

Well, Danny has had his nighttime walk and he is waiting for me to go to bed.

New from the Vorlon Wife.

Dear Karol,

I am so enjoying your writings. And, once again, I must thank you for being so kind to continue to let us know how you're doing. You are doing so many worthwhile things each day. You and Ted had a great many similar interests didn't you? The books and articles that you're reading, and the programs you enjoy were Ted's great interests too I think. You miss your best friend I'm sure more than anyone can really possibly understand. That being said, I think you're doing a marvelous job, even with the problems you've encountered with the furnace and the car radio and paperwork, etc.

Same old story from me. Please be very gentle with yourself and don't try to do too much. That's always so much easier said than done I think. I think you've been doing a trememdous job of taking care of things that simply need to be taken care of. And, it eventually will all get done.

Again, let me say how much your writings mean to me. The blog reads like a great letter to your best friend. And, we really are your very good friends too. We all have come to care so much for you and Ted through the blog. Isn't is just something when you can care so much for someone you never actually met? Reasons to be so thankful for technology.

You are truly always in my thoughts and prayers each day. You're doing pretty well too Karol. I'm so proud of you and I'm also so thankful you have your Danny Boy. I'm sure there are times when you wish you didn't have to be interrupted to take him outside. But, I think it's a good thing he can get you away from the work and get you out. And, thankfully, then you remember you need to eat too.

It finally seems like we're beginning to have some nice warm days in Michigan. We have been wondering for awhile if maybe this global warming problem was going to bring us 12 months of nasty weather. But, we're beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Soon enough, we'll be complaining that it's too warm no doubt. Take care my dear. Sincerely, Ruth

Thank you Ruth, your comments mean alot to me and they meant a lot to Ted. I wish you and Ted could have met in person. You were always so encouraging to both of us.

Karol
