Just before sunrise, I took Danny Boy out for his morning walk. It was cloudy in the east so it was dark even after sunrise. When we got home, we drove in Dasher 1 to the WaWa for a large cup of coffee. It provides 2 of my cups. I had one cup and got ready to go to the Unemployment Orientation. I figured I’d be wasting my time but it gave me some ideas to look for a job in PA or DE.

When I got home, I called the Vet for an appointment for Danny Boy to get his ears examined. I have to wait until tomorrow at 10:45. He seems to be doing a little better today but I want to make sure it clears up.

I did some laundry and ironing. It hurts to iron his clothes that he won’t be wearing but I got most of it done.

I had several calls from family and friends. Everyone is looking out for me. It is heart warming that so many people care. Danny and I have been invited to West Virginia in April. I would like very much to go but it is a long drive. I have to give it some thought.
I also was invited to Las Vegas to visit the Vorlon niece when she moves back there. Her husband is in the Air Force serving in Korea. Thank you, John for your service to our country. I always thank service men and women when I see them. They need to know that we support them and are grateful for what they are doing.

I did some filing today so I can find the information I need for the accountant. Things have not been filed since July. I got the billing filed and I’m working on the accounts payable.

I went to Bible Study tonight. I didn’t want to sit here by myself and wallow in my misery. Everyone was glad to see me.

I did some more filing and got up to letter T. I made some chamomile tea and Danny Woofed to go out. He hasn’t done that before. I hope he continues because he doesn’t’ let me know when he needs to go out. I have to guess. Sometimes, he sticks his nose in the crack of the door but it is usually when I’m getting ready to take him.

At night, I walk him near the proximity of the garage so I can hit the car alarm on my key chain if I need to. It should make a racket with both cars blaring.

I was able to finish my tea and have some tapioca pudding. Danny went up to bed so I’ll join him shortly.

News from the Vorlon Wife.

Glad to hear that you walk Danny Boy at night near the garage and that you can hit your alarm button. With both cars honking it should scare
any one off. We worried about you walking alone at night in the dark. Good to hear that Danny Boy lets you know when he has to go.

Sounds like you are doing a good job with all the paper work. Know you have lots to do to keep you busy. Hopefully spring will soon be here with lots of warm weather.

Love you, Mom & Dad

Karol, one of the very first things I do each morning is check in on you. I love that you write to us each night.

I know what you mean by the filing. What a hated job that is!

We will miss you tonight. Have you given thought to going on the bus trip April 27? Sure would be good to have you along.

Dear Karol,

I wish very very much that I would have had the opportunity to actually meet both of you. That didn't happen unfortunately, but, the luxury of this blog certainly has helped me to encourage both of you as you've had to face such big mountains. And, there have been many days that I've been helped to climb mountains through yours and Ted's writings. This is surely a gift for both of us. And, I'll always be thankful for that.

As I said, I am loving your writings. You have a talent for writing so beautifully about your emotions and your days. You share so much with us, and hopefully we are able to share some of our love with you. It's obviously so painful to do some of the things that must be done. However, with God at your side and your own personal strength, you're moving through some very deep valleys and ending up on the other side. What strength that shows Karol.

Your idea of using the car alarms when you're out with Danny in the dark is such a good idea. Pretty keen of you to think of that. And, as others have mentioned, we all feel better knowing you're taking precautions. It's so different when you're alone. I know even if my husband goes on a fishing trip for a few days, I definitely take more precautions. We have to think smart all the time in this day and age.

We woke up to snow again this morning, but, the temps are rising, so we're hoping it won't last too long. We loved our wonderful warm sampling and are hungry for more. Are your crocus blooming yet? I think ours are still afraid to peek out. I like being able to go back in the blog and see some of the sweet pictures Ted shared with us. That was so joyful.

Thinking of you and always caring for you. Most sincerely, Ruth

Yes, Phyllis, I will be signing up for the trip. I'm looking forward to visiting Anapolis.

Ruth, I have taken some photos of my flowers. They have been blooming for weeks. I went out to take a photo of the early crocuses but waited too long, the rabbits ate them, flowers, leaves and all. I got some photos yesterday of crocuses, mini daffidils, and mini dutch irises. As soon as I learn to transfer them to the blog, I'll start posting the Friday Flower Blog. My jphotos are not as good as Ted's but I'm just getting started.
