It rained all day and it will be raining for the next week. We may get a break on Wednesday. I hope I can get my yard work done then.

I went to my aunts today to help her with her Red Hat Luncheon. My cousin was there to help, too. She made all the sandwiches and got the tables ready. I helped to put the sandwiches and desserts on platters and took the ladies coats to the bedroom. It was a lovely gathering and everyone enjoyed themselves. There were 17 of us altogether. My cousin and I helped the ladies walked to their cars as the driveway was steep and the rain made it slippery. My aunt’s dogwoods and azaleas were in bloom and she has a wonderful view of them out her family room windows.

Danny did not like going out in the rain. The rain let up a little so I took him out for a walk. He has gone to bed now.

I feel like joining him.

I decided to wait until tomorrow to return home because of it being rush hour traffic and the rain making it so dark.

I wouldn't count on being able to cut the lawn this week. If you are getting as much water, in the form of rain, as we are down here in Virginia. You won't be able to mow until the lawn dries out. If you try you could burn up the engine with wet grass under the mower, Or over heating the engine because the grass is so heavy and it clumps together under the carriage stopping the blades especially if you bag it. Owen did this one year with a new mower. When the engine just stopped Owen didn't know why. When I checked underneath. I had to use a chisel to clean the sides of the mower and the chute into the bag. Thinking about you. Glad you choose to stay with your Aunt. Affectionately, Cheryl

Hi Karol,

I think it was a good plan to stay with your aunt after the luncheon. I'm sure she loved your company too.

I am praying for you Karol concerning the lovely mobile home you looked at. I will put this in the Lord's hands and ask Him to guide you. He knows all. He knows exactly what is happening in your life and we can stand on His word to be faithful to us. I think I mentioned to you some time ago that Dave & I moved from our country home to a mobile home park. We absolutely love living here at this point in our lives. Everybody helps everybody and we feel safe. I truly believe you would be very happy with the home and the park. Ruth
